Spring has sprung. Many gardening tips from industry and gardening enthusiasts can be helpful while others not so. Tips I want to share with you today go as follows

• Emerging spring bulbs need no extra water from you. Mother nature has given them more than enough and all bulbs like well-drained dry soil. It would be a good time to feed those emerging bulbs with some plant food per container instructions.
  
  
• Apply aluminum sulphate per bag instructions around your large leaf hydrangea’s to assure a good blue bloom color all season
  
  
• True, qualified tree arborists wear work clothes and don’t dress in surgical gloves, hats, and scrubs like a medical doctor. Those that do should wait till Halloween.
  
  
• Buttercup is a low growing lawn weed with very shiny leaves and yellow flowers the size of pennies. Treat with the most effective selective weed killer, Weed Free Zone by Fertilome.
  
  
• Most brown patches of brown grass in your lawn is not old crabgrass. It is probably Nimblewill, Zoysia, or Bermuda grass, all summer grasses that will green back up in May to June. Take a sample in to a knowledgeable garden center and have it I.D’d.
