| The weather continues to be on the mild side. ‘Look out February’ – I hope not but it’s out of our hand. We’ll just take the weather a week at a time (like we have a big choice). Getting bored? Well, here’s a chore or two to help speed time. 1. Winter seed (more info enclosed) 2. Cut back all ornamental grass to the ground 3. Continue to feed your birds (boy that is a hard one) 4. Be careful with ordering from seed catalogues. Cabin fever can cause an overabundance of purchasing and a possible waste of money 5. Go to the library and read Month by Month Gardening by Denny McKeown. Take notes before returning the book or buy it and have it on hand year round. In one year that book will pay for itself 20 times. (only $24.95 at any book store) We’ll mail it to you if someone buys it for you for your birthday, just call the office at 513-984-8733 6. Take advantage of Pre-Spring sale prices on our 3 Step Lawn Program and those Beautiful Knock Out Roses. Lawn Tips Continue to be conscience of the wet lawn and limit yours and anyone else’s foot traffic on your lawn Don’t let any lawn service that you might have hired put down any lawn food and/or Pre-emergent weed seed control this month. In fact if they do recommend this application now FIRE THEM and really save. |
