Today’s tip comes in several parts:
  1. Please do not mulch your beds yet unless using pine straw. All other types will keep the excess water ( + 4 inches) trapped around the roots of your plants.

  2. Do apply first application of Dimension to your landscape beds for weed seed control.

  3. Put Prodiamine down on your lawn now or as soon as any newly applied grass seed has germinated. This product will keep weed seed from germinating in your lawn for up to 8 months.

  4. Start planning and planting new color in your landscape. This could be in the form of a new flowering tree, flowering shrubs, perennials, and pansies.
