Fertilome All Season Lawn Food with Weed and Crabgrass Preventer – This product has the pre-emergent weed killer Barricade™. Barricade™ not only prevents crabgrass from germinating, but keeps any weed seed in the lawn from germinating. Barricade™ also continually works in the lawn for 8 months. It is impossible to put it down to early. Because of its longevity it will continue to prevent weeds through the summer as the weed seeds find their way into your lawn. It is a granular product you apply with a spreader. This is the only product on the market that contains Barricade™. If you winter seeded the lawn, wait to apply until after new seed has germinated.

Hy Yield Killzall – This is a non-selective liquid weed killer. The herbicide will only kill what it hits. It can be safely used around desirable plants as long as you control the spray so it only hits the weeds. It doesn’t have any soil activity so it can’t be absorbed by the roots of the desirable plants. Killzall has a much higher concentrate of glyphosphate which is the same active ingredient as in Round-up. Because of the higher concentration you’ll mix less into the water, making it much more economical than similar products like Round Up.

Fertilome Weed Out – Weed Out is a selective broadleaved weed killer for the lawn. It will kill weeds like Dandelions, Clover, Chickweed, Wild Violets, and many more. It contains Trimec, which is a combination of three of the best broadleaved weed killers available. The Trimec combination makes Weed Out more effective than similar products. It comes in liquid form. It also is available in granular forms with or without fertilizer. The liquid is the easiest and most cost effective way to apply the Weed Out, by spraying it with a tank sprayer only where you have the weeds.

Fertilizers

Fertilome Lawn Food with Iron – The iron in this granular fertilizer is what puts this product to the front of the long line of lawn fertilizers. The iron will turn your lawn a dark green within a day after you apply it. The iron is combined with slow release nitrogen to maintain the deep green color over a long period of time.

Fertilome Start-N-Gro Fertilizer – This is a premium slow release granular fertilizer. It is great to use around annual and perennial flowers. It can also be used around shrubs. Container gardening is very popular and Start-N-Grow is the best fertilizer to use. Since it is slow release it continually feeds your plants for up to 3 months. Liquid fertilizers are used very quickly by the plants and have to be applied very often.

Insecticides and Fungicides

Sunray® Ultra Fine® Year Round Pesticidal Oil – This highly refined Horticultural oil is very environmentally friendly. Oil can be used at higher temperatures than older dormant oil sprays. It can be used on fruits, nuts, ornamental trees, shrubs, and evergreens.

Controls: Wide assortment of sucking insects (Aphids, Aldegids, Lace Bugs, Leaf Hoppers, Leafminers, Mealy bugs, Mites, Plant bugs, Psyllids, and others). Also controls some Caterpillars and Sawfly larva.

Hazards: Always read the label – can be hazardous to fish – see label.

Note: Do not spray on evergreens with blue-green needles such as Blue Spruce. Oil could remove blue needle color, leaving needles green.

Use/Application: Can be used in a convenient hose end sprayer attachment or a pump sprayer.

Pyrethrin – Extracted from Chrysanthemum, an insecticide that is effective against sucking type insects such as Aphids, Mites, Scale, and some chewing type insects like Beetles, Leaf Rollers, and others. It can be applied to all types of ornamentals and edibles.
